My Story
Hiya!
I’m Jacqueline: a mum and a grandmother to three adorable small people. I’m also a clinical hypno-psychotherapist, a complementary therapist and journalist. I have trained in hypnobirthing, aromatherapy, baby massage, baby yoga and toddler yoga (up to four years old), hypnosis for fertility and postnatal support. I am an accredited Birthing Awareness 3 Step Rewind practitioner and can help parents and birth partners to heal from pregnancy and/or birth trauma.
As a qualified adult education teacher, I have taught complementary therapy to qualification level in adult education centres in east London and Essex. I’m a member of the National Society of Talking Therapies, the General Hypnotherapy Register, the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council and the International Association of Infant Massage. I hold a current DBS certificate.
I am fascinated with the mind-body connection and I worked as a complementary therapist for a number of years. When I decided to change careers, it was because of my interest in the connection between what we think and feel that made me train in hypno-psychotherapy. I find it incredible how various ways of working such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy can help people to move forward, using hypnotherapy as an additional tool.
I became interested in everything to do with birth and parenting after working with my daughter and her husband during all of their pregnancies, teaching them hypnobirthing antenatal education. I was present at the home births of two babies and helped them to prepare for an elective caesarean.
Being a hypnotherapist and working with people to help them take positive steps on their life’s journey is very exciting and I feel very privileged to do the work that I do.
